Dinesen is proud to be part of “Das Haus” at this year’s international interior design fair in Cologne. The 240 m2 large house installation is a recurring element, where the very best architects and designers are nominated to create their personal home vision. This year, the honor goes to Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, who are among the most influential forces in modern Chinese architecture and design.
A significant component of “Das Haus” by Neri&Hu is a solid bridge made in Douglas. The bridge is a choreographed path where the visitors are literally raised to new heights and embraced by the wood. The visitors become observers when they are led through the house with curated views of the various rooms, adding new perspectives on architecture, design and living.
“We have been great admirers of Dinesen since we started our practice ten years ago. The depth, texture and quality of each Dinesen Douglas plank makes wood come alive in a passionate way. It was natural for us to specify Dinesen for the Das Haus project at imm cologne.”
