Artist Lise Wulff lives in a house outside Oslo with her husband and their three children. But when they are not working, they like to go to their new cabin in the middle of the beautiful scenic valley of Hemsedal. The family has devoted a great deal of planning and effort to the project and has created a modern home that is also full of personality, warmth and charm.

The key elements in the design of the home were form, functionality and colour. Here, the Douglas planks played an important role. As an artist, Lise Wulff is fascinated by the annual rings of the wood. The family was so taken with the warm and soft expression of the planks combined with their functionality that Dinesen Douglas was used in the design of the beds, the seats in the kitchen and in the bathroom, closets and cabinets, the stairs and even a TV table.
