Baggesvogn

Fourteen years ago, a businessman and his wife fell in love with the beautiful scenery surrounding an equally impressive manor house in Jutland. It only took the couple half an hour to make up their minds to buy the estate, which they now use as their home away from home. Their permanent home is located just outside of Copenhagen.

Private residence, Jutland, Denmark

Architect: Arkitektfirmaet Knudsen & Østergaard A/S

_______________

Dinesen Douglas

Thickness: 35 mm. Width: 200-400 mm. Full lengths up to 10 m

Finish: Lye and white soap

The manor house was constructed in 1744, and since the couple took over the manor house, it has been carefully renovated. The renovation included new Dinesen Douglas floors with planks that are up to 10 metres long, a perfect match for the elegant setting. Doors, door frames and wooden and stucco ceilings in the main building are all original.

Renovating the manor house was an experience that allowed the couple to indulge their shared passion for antique fairs and auction markets. The Swedish porcelain stove is one of the many finds, now crowned by a carefully selected Italian bust, while the antique chandelier already hung in the living room when the couple moved in.
