Architect Gert Wingårdh chose Dinesen Douglas plank floors for Scandic Victoria Tower, a Stockholm landmark, which at 34 stories is the tallest hotel in the Nordic countries. The prestigious project is an architectural vision that combines a modern expression with a warm and welcoming interior.

The hotel attracts attention with its glass and steel facade which depending on lighting and weather conditions changes colour from blue to grey, green and even yellow shades in a triangular pattern. Wingårdh Arkitektkontor has used exquisite materials in the design of the hotel, and behind the spectacular facade, Dinesen floors are found both high and low. The wooden planks cover the 16 metre long reception counter that stretches elegantly down the lobby. The two ground-floor restaurants and the wardrobe feature Dinesen floors, and up among the clouds too, nature has a presence. The small, exclusive Sky Bar on the 34th floor has a Dinesen floor, and the stair leading to the lounge area is also made in Douglas.
