Experience traditional luxury in The Caretaker’s House, whose name marks the 300-year-old building’s original purpose.
The Caretaker’s House is a lavish holiday home that offers guests a wonderful stay in a homely setting, with an emphasis on style and well-being.
The building has been lovingly and painstakingly restored. The transformation of The Caretaker’s House was undertaken by Melanie Etten-Rueppell of Rueppell Design & Interiors. It was essential to preserve the historic authenticity of the place, and so Rueppell's mission was to create an atmosphere of unsurpassed comfort in a style complementing the origins of the building.
With Dinesen Douglas flooring throughout, The Caretaker’s House welcomes its guests with an emphasis on quality and aesthetics. The Douglas planks have a natural distribution of knots and are finished with lye and white soap, striking a beautiful contrast to the original, dark ceiling beams.
Guests who are looking to forget time and place in this storied setting can book their stay here.
