Simple, durable and carefully selected materials
Villa E’s original expression is manifested in three main materials: brick, oak and natural stone.
Rustic, hand-painted bricks in shades of red define the exterior façade and roof tiles, combined with the stone of surfaces, stairs and the inner core.
Dinesen oak floors are used throughout the interior, combined with bespoke solutions in Dinesen wood, including window sills, doors and panelled ceilings. The bedrooms have HeartOak floors, while the common areas feature Oak Herringbone. The floors are finished with Natural Oil, which brings out the natural colour variations of the wood. The wood brings a warm glow and atmosphere to the house.
Light-coloured stone in the three bathrooms bring an elegant and timeless expression.
‘We wanted the qualities of the beautiful materials to form a coherent whole. We like the interplay between the rustic bricks from Petersen and the oak from Dinesen, which combine with the natural stone to form the trinity of materials that defines the house.’
